FUNCTIONAL certification course

Description

Achieve long-term stable aligner results and actively prevent CMD with a treatment process that takes the temporomandibular joint into account from the outset.

Conventional setups focus on occlusal and aesthetic goals, but rarely evaluate how planned tooth movements may affect joint position or stability. As a result, treatment can unintentionally alter a patient’s adjusted mandibular position, even if they have no symptoms.

By integrating the diagnosed temporomandibular joint position into aligner planning, occlusal goals can be defined within a verified, stable joint relationship. This reduces the risk of biomechanical overload, structural adaptation, and unintended mandibular displacement.

In this course, you will learn centric bite registration and how to safely implement it in your daily practice. Upon successful completion, you will be certified to perform FUNCTIONAL treatments independently.
