Sports mouthguard BIOPLAST® XTREME
Course description
Custom-made sports mouthguards made of BIOPLAST® have been worn successfully for more than four decades. BIOPLAST® is a well-tolerated, high-quality EVA material that has been tested for biocompatibility. The pre-laminated BIOPLAST® XTREME foil with two different degrees of hardness (80 Shore A and 92 Shore A) in a single thermoformed sheet guarantees maximum shock absorption and thus optimum protection for the teeth. The individual BIOPLAST® XTREME sports mouthguard can be produced in attractive colours and used in many sports for both amateurs and professional athletes. During this course, participants will have the opportunity to fabricate several versions of BIOPLAST® XTREME.

Course Content
- Theoretical introduction
- Choosing the right type of sports mouthguard
- BIOPLAST® XTREME, BIOPLAST® XTREME PRO
- Preparation of fixator and demonstration models
- Thermoforming using the pressure moulding device
- Impression of the lower jaw using fixator or articulator
- Finishing and polishing
- Fabrication of a mouthguard for the upper jaw using the BIOPLAST® XTREME PRO Kit
- Fabrication of a special sports mouthguard for the upper jaw, for patients with fixed orthodontic treatment (brackets)
- Marketing and billing information
Details
The course fee includes all course materials (including models), course script, fabrication instructions as video (USB stick), certificate of attendance, lunch and refreshments.
According to the German Dentists Asscociation (BZÄK) and the German Society for Dental, Oral and Maxillofacial Medecine (DGZMK) it could be possible to get 8 additional education points each day, if this is offered in your country. Please check this with your national/regional authorities!
